For more than 20 years, South Shore Stars’ Middle Street Afterschool Program has been a trusted resource for Weymouth families. This long-standing program provides a safe, enriching, and supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally after the school day.

Program Highlights:

  • Strong literacy focus with homework help and tutoring to reinforce classroom learning.
  • Creative arts, crafts, sports, and technology that inspire imagination and exploration.
  • Safe and nurturing social–emotional environment where every child is respected and supported.
  • Leadership opportunities that help students build confidence and responsibility.
  • System of accountability that encourages positive choices and celebrates achievements.
  • Low staff-to-student ratio – one caring staff member for every 13 children.
  • Transportation provided from children’s schools to the Center.
  • Healthy snacks daily (with breakfast during school vacation days).
