South Shore Stars Preschoolers Break Ground on New Playground Construction Project

Students from South Shore Stars’ Randolph location donned hard hats for the groundbreaking ceremony of a new playground last week. The $250,000 project is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Early Education and Out-of-School Time capital improvement fund, which is used to renovate and develop childcare facilities in the communities where they are needed most. Theresa Jordan, director of the Children’s Investment Fund at the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation, Sen. Walter Timilty (D-Milton) and Rep. Bill Driscoll Jr. (D-Boston) were in attendance to show their support, as students used plastic shovels to break ground at the new playground construction site.
