Three Kings of Mulch Mountain: Morgan Stanley Volunteers Rise to the Challenge

Paddy Hackett, along with Glenn Pardo and Pat McCarthy of Morgan Stanley, truly went above and beyond—rising to the occasion to move and distribute 40 yards of playground mulch at the Stars Randolph Extended Day Program. Their incredible effort ensured the playground met state safety regulations for a soft and secure play area for our after-school kiddos.

What could have taken a team of ten or more volunteers an entire day, this mighty trio accomplished through sheer determination and teamwork. When recruitment challenges left only three volunteers, they didn’t back down—instead, they rented equipment, filled countless wheelbarrows, and worked straight through without even taking a lunch break to get the job done.

They could have chosen an easier project on another day, but they embraced the challenge head-on, ensuring the Randolph playground was ready and safe for the children who use it every day.

We are amazed and deeply grateful for their commitment, generosity, and can-do spirit. Paddy, Glenn, and Pat—thank you for quite literally moving mountains for Stars!
