Over eight weeks, 4th–6th grade students in the Stars Afterschool Program at our Middle Street location took part in a vibrant visual arts residency led by local artist Jim Gross and Project Director Mike Doherty. Through weekly sessions in painting, drawing, and mixed media, students created original works reflecting their identities, community ties, and creative voices.

This digital art initiative nurtured not only artistic skill, but also confidence, storytelling, and collaboration.

This program was proudly funded by the Weymouth Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, whose support helps bring enriching youth arts experiences to life.
