A Spring of Gratitude for an Outpouring of Volunteer Support, Generosity and Investment Helping Stars Shine Brighter!
This June, we are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming support from our esteemed Corporate Volunteer Partners: Deloitte, Pozerski, Hatch & Co, Point32Health, and State Street. Their dedication of time, effort, and resources has revitalized several Stars locations for the spring and summer seasons!
On Friday, June 7th, 36 volunteers participated in Deloitte’s Day of IMPACT at our Weymouth Afterschool Program. They painted the interior, landscaped, refreshed the outdoor space, and spread 12 tons of stone along our driveway!
On Monday, June 10th, our Stars Board Treasurer, Chris Ernest, and his colleagues at Pozerski, Hatch & Co., arrived at our Randolph Extended Day location. They cleaned up playground spaces, tidied the grounds’ perimeter, and planted pansies, providing a beautiful outdoor space for the children to enjoy this spring.
On Tuesday, June 11th, 20 volunteers from Point32Health came to Stars Summer Camp at Hale Education to clear ground debris, and cabins, and shoveled and distributed a not-so-small mountain of wood chips in preparation for Hale Education’s Camp Open House.
On Tuesday, June 18th, 19 State Street volunteers arrived at Stars Camp at Hale Education on the hottest day of the year to suspend several tarps and cover more than 30 picnic tables to ensure camp will be ready for this season’s happy campers come July 1st!
We are truly grateful for the time, dedication, energy, and resources of our valued Corporate Volunteer Partners. We couldn’t do it without them! The Stars Staff, Board, and the 1,300 children, youth, and families we serve are deeply appreciative of their support in keeping Stars shining brightly!
