Guiding Stars to Brighter Futures at Love of Literacy raised nearly $20,000 toward the transformative power of literacy
It was the best spring day yet on May 7th at Alma Nove, Hingham for our annual Love of Literacy Luncheon: Guiding Stars to Brighter Futures, benefiting the Stars School & Learning Center.
Hosted by Paul Wahlberg, Executive Chef & Founder of Alma Nove in Hingham, and emceed by Nancy Duggan, MSC, ED of Decoding Dyslexia of MA and Stars Board Member. The Love of Literacy Luncheon was an inspiring afternoon celebration of the power of literacy raising nearly $20,000 in support of the Stars School & Learning Center, which provides educational services for children at risk for and diagnosed with dyslexia.
Our featured guest Shawn Peters, author of “The Unforgettable Logan Foster” shared his story of a neurodiverse hero and aligns perfectly with our ethos and the spirit of inclusivity our guest speaker Laura Winters conveyed her journey on the critical issues families face when their child has been diagnosed with a language-based learning disability and the important resources needed on the South Shore.
