We Are Proud to Partner with Cradles to Crayons to End Clothing Insecurity

We are honored to announce that South Shore Stars has been recognized as a 2023 Chairman’s Council Clothing Insecurity Impact Award recipient as a Service Partner with Cradles to Crayons.

More than 20 million children in the United States are at risk of clothing insecurity, defined as the lack of access to affordable, adequate, and appropriate clothing. Without the clothing and basic supplies they need, children may experience high levels of stress and even miss days of school as a result of having their basic needs unmet.

Partnering with Cradles to Crayons allows us to provide 80 families each year with needed clothing, shoes, and other basic supplies that are appropriate for both size and season. We are proud to partner with Cradles to Crayons, the largest national nonprofit with children’s clothing insecurity at the core of its mission, to provide children and families with the resources they need to thrive.
