South Shore Stars Receives Generous Book Donation from Delta Kappa Gamma Alpha Iota Chapter

South Shore Stars is honored to be chosen by Lynn Howard, President of Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) Alpha Iota chapter, as a service project partner in support of early childhood education.

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG), founded in 1929, is a professional organization dedicated to empowering women educators through scholarships, grants, professional development, networking, mentorship, community service, and leadership training. Their mission is to foster both personal and professional growth while promoting excellence in education.

Lynn led a thoughtful book drive to benefit Stars’ preschool children (ages 2.9 – 5 years), ensuring that classrooms across our agency received multiple copies of quality titles to enhance their libraries. Thanks to this generous initiative, 33 books across 11 titles were donated to three Stars preschool libraries, a contribution valued at over $300.

We are deeply grateful to Lynn Howard and the members of DKG Alpha Iota for their dedication to fostering a love of learning and literacy among our youngest learners. Their support helps us continue our mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities for all children.
