May 7 @ 11:30 am 2:00 pm

Featuring Author Shawn Peters and Keynote Speaker Nancy Duggan, MSC, ED of Decoding Dyslexia of MA

Join us for an inspiring afternoon at the Love of Literacy Luncheon: Guiding Stars to Brighter Futures, benefiting the Stars School & Learning Center. Hosted by Paul Wahlberg, Executive Chef & Founder of Alma Nove in Hingham, and emceed by Nancy Duggan, MSC, ED of Decoding Dyslexia of MA and Stars Board Member. The Love of Literacy Luncheon aims to celebrate the power of literacy while raising funds to support the Stars School & Learning Center, which provides educational services for children at risk for and diagnosed with dyslexia.

Our featured guest Shawn Peters, author of “The Unforgettable Logan Foster” has a theme that celebrates a neurodiverse hero and aligns perfectly with our ethos and the spirit of inclusivity we aim to promote at the Stars School & Learning Center.

With your generosity, we are optimistic that we can reach our $20,000 goal. This year, the event is especially meaningful as we aim to support the opening of our new school, designed to serve grades 1 through 5, focusing on students with dyslexia and other learning differences.

South Shore Stars provides the highest quality early education and youth development programs for the communities south of Boston. Using a family support approach in collaboration with schools and other service providers, South Shore Stars aims to enhance the optimal growth of children from economically and culturally diverse families. It has been serving children and youth from newborn through 18 years of age for over 50 years.

Literacy is the cornerstone of all learning!
